KANJO TAKE

Kanjo Take, born in Berlin in 1953 to a Japanese father and German mother, studied painting in Spain and photography and communication at Berlin University of the Arts. He became one of the youngest and most successful art directors of his time, working in Tokyo, London, New York, Zurich, and Hamburg, and gaining renown as a master still-life photographer.

In 2002, Take embraced digital photography with Olympus, creating groundbreaking campaigns for fashion icons such as Yves Saint Laurent and Vivien Westwood. His innovative Photomangas were exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art Shanghai in 2006 and featured in Chinese Vogue. His work has since been showcased worldwide, from Shanghai to New York, Tokyo, and Paris, earning recognition from leading curators and institutions.
