PHILIPPE ROBERT

Philippe is a French photographer who studied at the Institut des Hautes Études Cinématographiques in Paris and later at UCLA in Los Angeles. He began his career working on TV productions between Paris and L.A., while contributing to Les Cahiers du Cinéma, where he met cultural icons such as Tom Waits, Robert Mitchum, Francis Ford Coppola, Jack Nicholson, and André Kertész. His photography career took off with SPIN magazine, followed by collaborations with L.A. Weekly, Interview, Harper’s Bazaar, Time, Elle, Match, Glamour, and others. His first Harper’s Bazaar cover coincided with the final issue of Guy Bourdin’s legendary series.

He went on to work with major brands and supermodels including Linda Evangelista, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Marine Watch for Chanel, and Nora Arnezeder for Guerlain. Philippe also created a landmark project with the Opéra National de Paris, becoming the first photographer to shoot its étoiles in studio—a series later widely published and exhibited.

Alongside fashion, Philippe has collaborated with leading music labels (BMG, Warner, EastWest), advertising agencies (Publicis, CLM, BBDO, RSCG), and film production companies. His work has been exhibited internationally at the Louvre, the Picasso Museum, Cannes Film Festival, Monte-Carlo, Miami, New York, and the 10th Anniversary of the Fashion Photo Festival in Cannes.
