Born in the Basque Country, Richard Aujard is a French photographer whose work explores strength, vulnerability, and subcultures. After starting as an assistant at Vogue at 19, he built an international career with projects on bikers, boxing, Native American tribes, and Mexican Charros.

His photographs have been published worldwide, featured in Photo magazine, and are referenced at Artcurial and Christie’s. Aujard’s long collaborations with Eric Cantona and Mickey Rourke marked a turning point in his career, as did his documentation of humanitarian crises in Haiti and Mongolia.
